There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit."--Romans 8:1(NIV)
We have all said or done things we are not proud of. Thankfully, as Christians, we can ask God for forgiveness. When we express godly sorrow and turn away(repent) from sinful patterns and behaviors, Micah 7:18-19 tells us that because God loves us so much, he throws our sin into the depths of the sea.
Stop rehearsing, replaying, and wasting time and energy ruminating on things you have been forgiven of--mistakes, bad decisions and choices, etc. It will lead you to a place of emotional exhaustion, "spiritual self-mutilation", and ultimately a cycle of self-condemnation. You have been forgiven by God the Father, through the blood of Jesus, therefore there is no condemnation.
" Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things."--Philippians 4:8(NKJV)
