God is looking for intercessors (prayer warriors, watchmen, and gatekeepers) who will stand in the gap and fearlessly and boldly pray. We live in a time of distress; people are hurting, hearts are broken. There is much loss, hopelessness, anger, fear, confusion, and devastation in our world. This is the time for intercessors to arise! The people of God have unrealized, underutilized power and authority to bombard heaven with prayers that will shake nations and bring down principalities and powers and all manner of evil and wickedness in our land (Ephesians 6:12) in the name of Jesus!
As we humble ourselves, pray, and turn from wickedness, God promises to heal our land--our hearts, our relationships, our families, our communities, our schools, our neighborhoods.
"...If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land."
--2 Chronicles 7:14(NIV)
Would you agree with me in Intercessory Prayer?
Prayer:
Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before you as intercessors--standing in the gap. We acknowledge and confess that you are the true and living God, There is none like you (I Corinthians 8:4). It is in you that we live and move and have our being (Acts 17:28). We can do nothing without you.
We, your people, stand in need of your mercy. We pray Father that you would forgive us of our sins. We humble ourselves before you in repentance. Forgive us of wickedness, acts of evil, and disobedience before you. Forgive us of pursuing the lusts of the flesh and all manner of iniquity. As a nation, we have veered from your laws, your principles, precepts, and order. Forgive us. We side against ourselves and align our hearts, our motives, our thoughts, and behaviors with your word.
God, we need your intervention. We need your mercy. Pour out your Spirit upon us. Fill every void. Bind every wound. Heal every hurt, in the name of Jesus. Restore! Heal! Deliver! Set free! In Jesus' name, Amen.
