So often when we pray, we pray with our eyes on the problem, challenge, or difficulty we are facing--which skews our perspective. When our perspective is skewed we are commandeered by what we see, what we feel, as well as the scenarios and conclusions we have drawn in our own minds.
When there is a need or area of concern in our lives, the word of God encourages us to look up--looking to Lord, who is our help. We must change our perspective from the problem to the One who has the solution or the answer. When we pray, we are to pray with God at the forefront of our mind--not the difficulty. When our focus is on him, we have the proper perspective.
