There is good news from heaven for you today! I pray that this word of encouragement from the scriptures will bring peace and hope to your heart:
"I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]"--John 16:33(AMP)
Jesus tells us that we will experience tribulation, trials, distress, and frustration. I'm sure we can all give a collective nod of agreement to that truth. Most of us, if we are honest, could produce a pretty meaty laundry list of difficulties we have experienced in life that have left us feeling low or even defeated. The beauty of the mercy and love of God is that he does not leave us in a place of pain and brokenness. He tells us to be courageous, confident, certain, and undaunted--even when we are hurting. Why? Because Jesus has overcome any and every obstacle, hurdle, struggle, or problem that we may face. And what's more is that He has broken its power off our lives. He is the ultimate conqueror!
I have heard it said that Jesus takes the broken pieces of our lives and creates a beautiful mosaic. Things in your life might look like a mess now, but a mosaic is being created. If you love the Lord, rest assured that all things are working together for your good according to his design and purpose.
Allow the Lord to be the creative designer/artist in your life. Make the decision to give him your cares and distress. (This does not mean to ignore or avoid a troublesome or problematic area, but rather trust that He has the solution and will give your the wisdom, courage, and grace to resolve any matter.)
Take heart, be courageous and confident in knowing that he is going to make something beautiful--it's just a matter of time!
Reflection:
1. Can you identify areas of tribulation and trials in life (past or present) that have caused distress and frustration?
2. Do you struggle to "be of good cheer", according to John 16:33? Why?
3. Identify and list every broken area of your life. One by one, give each of those items to the Lord. As you release those items to Him, accept and receive His peace.
Prayer:
Father, in the name of Jesus, I thank you that you are working all things together for my good. I thank you for downloading supernatural peace, courage, and confidence to my heart. I thank you for solutions and answers to the problems I am facing. I receive them all now. I thank you that you broken and the power of distress, worry, anxiety, and fear off of my life. I thank you that I walk in total victory because Jesus conquered all. Amen.
