Mother's Day may not be a day of joy and celebration for everyone. There are women who may be grieving the loss of a mother or the loss of a child. Some may be struggling with infertility. Others may be plagued with feelings of guilt, shame, and all of the after-effects of an abortion. Others may be challenged with the realities of being given up for adoption or being raised in foster care. There are a myriad of valid, painful reasons why this may not be a day that one looks forward to.
