"You’ve kept track of my every toss and turn through the sleepless nights, Each tear entered in your ledger, each ache written in your book."--Psalm 56:8(MSG)
For many women, Mother's Day may not be a day of joy and celebration. There are those who may be grieving the loss of a mother or the loss of a child. Some may be struggling with infertility. Others may be plagued with feelings of guilt, shame, and all of the after-effects of an abortion. Others may be challenged with the realities of being given up for adoption or being raised in foster care. There are a myriad of valid, painful reasons why this may not be a day that one looks forward to.
