--Acts 4:12 (ERV)
It may seem as though saying the name of Jesus has become taboo, politically incorrect, or offensive. Yet, believers know and understand the liberty that comes when the name of Jesus is proclaimed. Acts 4:12 tells us that the name of Jesus is the only name under heaven whereby we can be "saved"
(G4982 sozo: to be whole, sound, kept safe, delivered, protected, rescued from danger or destruction).*
There is power and authority that is released when call on His name. It's no wonder that the adversary of our souls, Satan, would go to such extremes to attempt to stifle the utterance of the name of Jesus. He (Satan) knows that when the name of Jesus is called--he is put on the run!
If you are confronting something today, I have good news for you! The name of Jesus is greater than anything you may be confronting. Dare to call on His name. His name is greater than anxiety, depression, worry, fear, offensives, unforgiveness, trauma, PTSD, a broken heart, emotional wounds, habits, vices, maladaptive coping skills, rage, lying, manipulation, deception, promiscuity, lust, etc. His name is above all names. No one and no thing is equivocable. He is in a class all by Himself.
Scriptures for Prayer and Meditation:
"Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble."--James 2:19
"And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name."--Luke 10:17
"Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."--Philippians 2:9-11
Prayer
Father, in the name of Jesus, we thank you that you have engrafted us into your kingdom. You have given us the privilege to call upon the name of Jesus. We thank you for the power of His name, the name that causes demons to tremble! We receive the peace, the healing, the deliverance, the joy, the protection, the wellness, the love, the care, the compassion, the acceptance, the redemption, the restoration, and the salvation that comes when we call upon the name of Jesus! Jesus! Amen.
