Not too long ago, I was watching the TV show, "Shark Tank"; a show where inventors and entrepreneurs pitch their ideas to the "sharks" (investors) in hopes to acquire funding. If you are familiar with the show, you know that the investors also give critiques and invaluable business information. For the savvy, shrewd business person in the shark tank, he will listen and glean from the experts' wise counsel and feedback. To that point, I heard one of the sharks challenge the person pitching an idea. Although, the initial pitch seemed sound, the shark could detect glitches and problematic areas. The shark made a statement that resonated in me. She said, "It's not who's going to let me, but who is going to stop me." Wow!
Coming to the realization that, in Christ, we are unstoppable is powerful. So often we wait for permission to dream, to act, to move, to initiate, and to get started. Yet, we do not have to wait for permission to move into the will of God for our lives. He has given each of us an assignment, a purpose, and a destiny (Jeremiah 1:4-7). And, he has equipped us with everything that we need. Once we grab a hold of this truth, we can do great exploits for the Kingdom of God.
Are you unstoppable? Or, have you been stopped in your tracks by personal insecurity and uncertainty? Have you been stopped by the bruising words of another person? Have there been unforeseen barriers and roadblocks in life that have stopped you? What is stopping you? What has stopped you?
Getting Back on the Move and Becoming Unstoppable
1. Identify what has stopped you.
2. Begin to dream again. Allow yourself to envision, imagine, think on your goals/desires.
3. If you do not have a goal or are not sure, start by identifying your interests/your passion/the causes that matter to you. Inquire of God. Ask Him to reveal your purpose--it is often related to your interests/passions.
4. Take a small measurable step toward your goal--now you are on the move!
5. Keep moving. Keep taking steps. Don't stop.
Father, in the name of Jesus, we come against every hindering spirit, every roadblock, every obstacle and barrier that is endeavoring to stop the people of God from moving into their destiny. We decree and declare that nothing is impossible for You (Luke 1:37). We thank you in advance for giving us the victory and making us unstoppable! Amen.
