--Philippians 4:13(AMP)
It's Holy Week--a celebration the life, death, burial, and resurrection of our triumphant Lord and Savior. This is a time to reflect and remember why God sent His Son--to bring redemption, healing, deliverance, and salvation. As the sons and daughters of God, we are recipients of his unconditional love. We are also beneficiaries of strength and power. We have been endowed with supernatural might, resolve, confidence, and tenacity. With the glory of heaven at work in our lives, we are unstoppable!
Recently, I made a decision to bring the truth of Philippians 4:13 to bear in my life. Appropriating this word nullified fear and trepidation. It also gave "God a runway", as our pastor would say, to receive the provision and resources I needed to fulfill His purpose.
Perhaps you can relate on some level. Is there a goal, dream, or idea that you have been tossing around, but have not moved on? What's stopping you--
self-doubt, timing, past failures, lack of resources, fear, nay-sayers, etc.? If any of this sounds strangely familiar, may I encourage you today? God will always source His will being fulfilled in our lives. And, His power is perfected when we are seemingly at our weakest (2 Corinthians 12:9).
Remember the account of Elijah fleeing from Jezebel in I Kings 19? He was riddled with fear and anxiety after his dramatic and victorious showdown with the prophets of Baal. When an incensed Jezebel heard of his victory, she began sending out wolf-tickets to intimidate Elijah. And her plan worked--Elijah was afraid. Yet, Elijah's fear did not negate the purpose he had yet to fulfill! On two occasions, the angel of the LORD fed and comforted Elijah. The second meal that the angel of the LORD prepared for him sustained Elijah for 40 days! We can never underestimate the supernatural power of God enabling us to do what seems impossible.
